Upgrading Your Membership
When moving to a higher-tier membership:
- Immediate access
- You’ll get instant access to all the features of the new, higher tier as soon as you upgrade.
- How payments work
- Monthly → Monthly: You only pay the difference between the lower and higher tiers for the rest of the current billing period.
- Monthly → Yearly: The yearly plan starts immediately, and the amount you already paid for the remaining days of your monthly plan will be subtracted from the total.
- Yearly → Yearly: The higher yearly plan starts right away, and any unused time from your current yearly plan will count as credit toward the new plan.
- Yearly → Monthly: The new plan will only start when your current yearly membership ends. You won’t pay anything extra until then.
What Happens If You Upgrade Shortly After Signing Up?
If you decide to upgrade soon after joining:
- You’ll pay the full amount for the new, higher-tier membership right away.
- The system will subtract the value of the unused time on your original plan, so you only pay for what’s new.
Downgrading Your Membership
When moving to a lower-tier membership:
- Timing
- The downgrade will take effect at the end of your current billing period (monthly or yearly). Until then, you’ll still have access to the features of your current higher-tier plan.
- No partial refunds
- Since the downgrade starts after your current plan ends, no refunds are needed. You’ll simply switch to the new plan when your billing period renews.
How to Change Your Membership Tier
- Log in to your account.
- Head to Settings > Manage Membership
- Click “Update Your Membership Tier.”
- Select your new plan and confirm.
