What Are Interactive Podcast Transcripts?
Every Easy German Podcast episode comes with an interactive transcript. To open it, go to the episode on the membership platform and click the Interactive Transcript button.
The Interactive Transcript:
- highlights each word as it is spoken,
- helps you read along in real time, and
- lets you instantly translate any section into your preferred language.

Using the Interactive Transcript
The transcript works in your browser on both desktop and mobile. You need to be online to use it. For technical reasons, this feature cannot run directly inside native podcast apps.
When you open the interactive transcript, you can:
- Play audio from the bottom player or by clicking the play icon next to any speaker’s name.
- Adjust settings with the gear icon:
- Change text size
- Adjust playback speed
- Select your translation language
- Toggle the Vocab Helper to see the most important words from each minute, along with English
Listening on Your Phone?
If you are subscribed to your members’ audio feed, you’ll be able to view the Vocab Helper directly in your podcast app. You’ll also find a link to the interactive transcript in each episode’s show notes.
